Ananta Leather Collections Ltd. [ALCL] was established in June 2012 as a natural expansion of Ananta Group of companies into leather goods manufacturing. ALCL was formed to manufacture Bags & Small Leather goods, considering the availability of high quality leather in Bangladesh, the demand for leather products worldwide & the group’s manufacturing experiences.
ANANTA, a well-established name in Bangladesh Apparel Manufacturing, started in 1992 & grew to 8 companies with 15,000 workers, producing 1.5 Million garments per month. Having firmly established its name in the Fashion Industry working with top brands (GAP, H&M, George, Joe Fresh and others), it is now focused on manufacturing leather products, initially bags & SLG. Other product categories in leather are also a part of the future plan.
ALCL (Ananta Leather Collections Ltd.) although a new factory, the management has vast accumulated experience in Leather products manufacturing to support its success. ALCL production team is lead by Mr. Sohail Askar who started his career in Leather products manufacturing as the Managing Director of ‘Spectra Leather’ in 1995 which merged into ‘Picard Bangladesh Ltd’ a Joint venture company with Picard Germany. The experience of producing leather products for international market is now strengthened with the extensive experience and network of Ananta group in the field of management, procurement, exposure, training & compliance issues. Considering the above factors, ALCL is poised for success in the leather products sector.
From 2012 till now, ALCL has been exporting bags to the Japan market. ALCL takes pride in developing quick prototypes and keeping a very high standard during production. ALCL is also capable of developing leather, customized to buyers’ choice. One special focus of ALCL is to make on time shipments & has not failed any delivery schedule since its inception in 2012.

Presently we are on a rented space of 10,000 sft with a workforce of 70+ persons. Machineries include Cutting, Skiving, Splitting, Sewing, embossing and other required tools.
We consider this as the initial stage and in future are planning to move to our own space with a much bigger production capacity. Presently we can make 6,000(+/-) bags per month.
